Jekalyn Carr, a six-time Stellar Awards winner and five-time Grammy Awards Gospel nominee, designs most of the dazzling royal outfits that she wears when she performs on stage and in her videos.

The American top musician, Carr is popularly known for her hit single, You’re Bigger. In a telephonic interview with Carr, she revealed to the now-defunct Y Opulence Mag, that she has designed almost all the modest breathtaking apparel she wears. Her first fashion line that is currently available is a collection of faith gears of unisex t-shirts, sweaters, hoodies and leggings for women. The “faith gear collection” is inspired by her hit singles, “You Will Win,” and “My Portion.” Her next goal is to release royal inspired clothing.

Speaking from Memphis in the United States of America (USA), the gifted 26-year-old musician said:
One thing I have always been about is having the attire and the look of a Queen. Not just having the mentality of a Queen, but also looking like one. So, in my fashion line, I think that is what you will get [the look of a Queen]. You will get a lot of classy pieces. My desire and goal are to create fashion looks for all age brackets.
The international telephonic interview was conducted a few years before Carr performed in South Africa.

"Almost everything that I wear is my design. I am currently preparing to launch my fashion line, and I already have a T-shirt line available.  I have always been into fashion, and I have always envisioned owning a fashion line. Everything has to happen at the right time – the timing of God. We are about to establish our second fashion line, and I am really excited about that,” said Carr.
As if that is enough, Carr recently released her skin care products called Jekalyn Beauty.

Jekalyn began singing professionally at the age of 15. She has released six albums, namely, Greater is Coming, It’s Gonna Happen, The Life Project, One Nation Under God, Changing Your Story, and self-titled album, Jekalyn.

At the time of interview, she was releasing her fourth album, One Nation Under God. This was after her hit single “You’re Bigger” from the album “The Life Project” that made her known, globally. Currently, Carr has released a self-titled album, featuring various artists, including award-winning artists, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Kierra Sheard-Kelly.
Jekalyn is a top selling artist who is highly respected in her own country, USA and across the globe. She has paid tribute to Gospel legends such as Pastor Shirley Caesar, Donnie McClurkin and Yolanda Adams.

Jekalyn is a woman of many talents who ensures that all her dreams materialise. Apart from being a Gospel musician, fashion artist and an evangelist, she is an entrepreneur, actress, speaker and author. She is the author of a book, titled “You Will Win.”

When asked how she manages to utilise almost all her talents she said, “Well, I can definitely say that God has given me the strength to do each and every gift that He has called me to operate in.”

She further elucidated:
I tell people all the time, if God knew that I would not be able to handle it, He would not have given me these gifts. So, it is a blessing to be able to share my gifts with the world and be a blessing to people all across the world and God has given me the grace to be able to do it.
Her journey as a Gospel artist began at the age of five. But God called her to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 13. At that age, she shared a stage with world acclaimed, Televangelist Benny Hinn, who prophesied that she will be known worldwide. Indeed, her life testifies to that prophesy as she has performed and ministered in different parts of the world.
