Terence Parkin is the most awarded sportsman of the Deaflympics (World Games for Deaf Athletes) since its inception in 1929.
He won no less than 29 Gold medals, one Silver and one Bronze in cycling during the four editions of the Deaflympics. He currently holds 50 World Records in the Large and Small pools for the Deaf. He is nicknamed “the silent torpedo” and the Michael Phelps of the Deaflympics games.
Parkin said, “Success is 90% attitude and 10% training. With the right attitude you can do anything. The worst handicap is attitude!”
