As the country celebrates Deaf Awareness Month, the Diary Series of Deaf People (www.thedeafdiary.com), a digital publication that highlights the plight of the Deaf community, in conjunction with the Johannesburg Society for the Blind, the Deaf Federation of South Africa (DeafSA), Tebza Productions and the South African National Association for Specialised Education (Sanase) will be hosting Judge Brian Mashile of the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court. Theme: “If he Can Do It, I Can Do It.”

The event is purposed at encouraging people, especially the Deaf community, blind, and learners with various disabilities to work hard and to not give up in life no matter the circumstances they find themselves in. It will be hosted virtually on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM on Teams. There will be Sign Language Interpreters to interpret for the Deaf people. It’s a one-hour event, with extra time allocated for question and answer.
